LECTURER – ANDREW YOUD
Pastor Andrew Youd has taught Christian Ethics for over 6 years. His interest in the intersection between faith and ethics has seen him take this from a postgraduate degree to present PhD study in Christian virtue ethics.
We live in a pluralistic society where there are more options and opinions on all manner of actions and values. We live in a world of moral scandal, be it political, corporate, or church, where people are quick to point the finger at others but for whom judgement of oneself is scorned. We live in a world where social media platforms give every opinion and value a platform but little hope of deciphering the conflicting voices. This subject will help every student to consider ways of moral reasoning, to examine values, principles, and character traits that are enduring, and to apply moral frameworks to important contemporary issues.
This subject will count as credit towards undergraduate and postgraduate certificates, diplomas, and degrees in ministry, theology, arts, and leadership.
